Introduction: Introduction of transparent aligners as a new technique has brought to aesthetic changes in orthodontic treatment and increase demand from adult patients. Attachments have emerged to aid these treatments and are resin buttons fixed to tooth. Changes to the surface and function of attachments depend according to the type of resin used. Objectives: To analyze whether different types of resins will affect the efficiency/ effectiveness of attachments. Finding the ideal material for their manufacture. Materials and Methods: Systematic search of studies available in the literature using the Pubmed, Cochrane and Scopus databases, as well as manual search to identify more relevant articles. Results: The systematic research identified 224 relevant articles that, after applying the exclusion criteria and reading of the full text, those that presented wrong outcome, in full text, wrong study design and wrong population were excluded and resulted in 9 selected articles, 3 clinical studies and 6 in vitro studies, which were analyzed descriptively Conclusion: Nano hybrid/particulate fluid resins have better characteristics of use in low and medium complexity clinical cases. In the most complex and timeconsuming cases, compactable nano hybrid/particulate resins present less surface wear, avoiding changes in the direction and force of movements during treatment. However, more clinical studies are needed.
