INTRODUCTION: Calcium silicate-based sealers have been studied as an alternative to the use of conventional sealers because they aim to induce osteogenesis and to be a more favorable alternative for clinical practice. In this study, the main objective is to systematically analyze the evidence on the evaluation of the osteogenic potential of sealers based on calcium silicate so that we can use these materials more safely in clinical practice. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The research was carried out on Pubmed/MEDLINE, Web of Science and Scopus platforms, Mesh terms were defined. Then, the articles were selected using inclusion and exclusion criteria. The MeSH terms were linked with the Boolean operators AND and OR. RESULTS: Nine articles were selected in this systematic review study. Several brands of bioceramic sealers (iRoot SP, MTA Fillapex, BioRoot RCS, EndoSequence BCS, ProRoot ESS, Endoseal MTA, Nishika Canal Sealer BG, Nano-ceramic Sealer, Wellroot ST) and several conventional cements (Sealapex, Apatite Root Sealer, Pulp Canal Sealer, Roth Sealer and AH-Plus) using different culture media. CONCLUSION: Bioceramic sealers are a good alternative to conventional sealers, as they have better osteogenic potential than conventional sealers. However, it is necessary to confirm these results by carrying out clinical studies.
