The aim of Kosmicare crisis intervention program is to acting in hard experiences derive from the use of SPA in recreational contexts or to intervene in other crisis situation not necessarily caused by SPA use. This research work aims to evaluate the results of this crisis intervention program in recreational environments as well as to characterize the experience of crisis experienced by individuals. In respect of evaluation’s results were included two analysis levels: the intervention evaluation from the participant’s perspective and the long-term impact analysis from the intervention program, by the participant perspective too. In order to assess these aspects it was designed an online follow-up survey, which allowed accessing to an international sample in a more efficient way featuring individuals attended in 2010 and 2012 Kosmicare editions. The research methodology relies on a qualitative process using the Nvivo9 ® software for data analysis. Kosmicare evaluation allowed us to verify that this intervention program besides having smoothed the experience of crisis that led the individual to KC zone, also allowed some of them to retain a positive experience, as found with the follow-up. Furthermore, the crisis intervention it seems to had caused some long-term effect respectively to the perceptible changes indicated by individuals after the crisis and intervention. Considering that this intervention area remains a few unexplored field related to crisis intervention in recreational environments, this type of evaluation arises to show that it possible to individuals come through the crisis moment justifying the very important role that this programs play at large scale recreational contexts.
