Avaliar a importância de um sistema de acreditação para um hospital e os impactos na eficiência

Abstract

With the evolution of health services, it is possible to verify a consequent increase in the level of demand by the pacients, since they have access to large amounts of information, which allows for a more thoughtful and prudent decision-making, as well as a most relevant criticism. As a response to this behavior, it is possible to see the position of caregivers and health managers, who intend to meet these needs by obtaining a service that is increasingly closer to excellence in terms of quality. In this internship report, the objective will be to understand the importance of attributing an International Quality Accreditation, by the english model CHKS, to Hospital da Prelada, namely its impact on the functioning of this health unit, also addressing the reasons for this accreditation process. The respective research and literature review will be carried out to support this study.
