Abstract

This report, produced as part of the Final Project course, for the completion of the Master's Degree in Sound and Image in the Computer Animation specialization, aims to describe and clarify the project behind the production process of the animated short film "Blossom". Initially, this document describes the objectives and motivations that led to the creation of the project, accompanied by a synopsis and description of various aspects of it. As well as the artistic approaches that influenced it through research, the methodologies used and the timelines. The complete process involved in making the project will then be explained through three phases: pre-production; production; and post-production. The pre-production phase will describe the ideas that accompanied this project, the respective concept art, the development of the narrative and the main character, as well as their visual studies, the creation of a storyboard and animatic. In the production phase, the detailed process for making the animation will be explained. In the post-production phase, the process of composition, editing and correction will be presented, as well as the creation of the promotional poster. In conclusion, a critical reflection on the process of creating the short film "Blossom" will be included, by presenting the results obtained, the disagreements and the lessons learned that allowed it to be completed.
