As result of this difficult situation, the construction companies are look at the future of internal market with pessimism and investing their efforts towards a strategy that focused on internationalization. In this sense, by taking advantage of its strong relationships and needs of development of its ex-colonies, the Portuguese construction companies have been focused on the African countries. The construction setor is a crucial element to boost economic growth and competitiveness of underdeveloped countries, allowing companies to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. For these reasons, Mozambique was chosen by Abrantina, S.A and many other companies as their next business opportunity. In this context, a strategic business plan was defined and set out to Abrantina, S.A, in order to study the economic viability of reinforcing the company‟s ativity in Mozambique. In this sense the favorable market conditions for construction companies were reinforced in result of Mozambique‟s need to overcome the infrastructural limitations and joint features were defined, offering a good chance for investment return for Abrantina.
