Abstract

The work is considered, each day, more as the main aspect of the subject's life, it can often take unimaginable proportions putting his well being at stake. With increasing environments increasingly challenging more, see Innovation and s an alternative for incrementing the efficiency within the organizations constituting hum critical element to provide as their competitiveness. As a result, this investigation has it's focus on the understanding on how we can relate the centrality of work, so, the individual beliefs into the degree of importance that the job performs on his life with with proactive leadership, regarded as a social phenomenon, interpersonal influence exercised in a situation and directed through the process of human communication to achieve one or more specific objectives. It is the key to organizational effectiveness. The bibliographic review was developed based on scientific articles from national and international repositories of free access, as well as books related to the theme. The methodology adopted was of a qualitative nature, with the population being workers at the national level who performed a professional activity at the moment, using a nonprobabilistic sampling process. In order to collect data, three fundamental instruments were used for this research: the Sociodemographic Questionnaire; The Proactive Leadership Scale (De Cremer, 2015; Translation and Adaptation of Lobo F. & Lobo M., 2015); and the Work Centrality Scale (Lobo, Ferreira, Dias, Ferreira, Martins, Moreira and Peixoto, 2013).The data collection process is still under development. For the subsequent analysis of the data, we used the statistical program SPPS, version 21. The results did not show statistically significant relationships between Proactive Leadership and Centrality. Such data may evidence the need for future studies.
