The following report aims to expose and document the various stages of development of a practice here designated as Anti-Cinema based on the various practical instantiations of this project, namely the performances Vórtice Magnético ou Mecanismo de Dobra Fantasmática and Electroestática Especular // Circuito de Desfiguração Magnética, produced in the context of the final project of Escola das Artes’ Master’s Degree in Cinema. This report will have two sections, one titled ‘Movimentos’ which presents a chronology of the practical development of the project and it’s presentations, and another called ‘Fragmentos’ where we discuss the theoretical references and create a minimal schematic for an Anti-Cinema, mainly taking from Gilles Grelet’s Anti-Philosophical project developed in his work Theory of the Solitary Sailor. The purpose of this practice and that which this report intends to aim at, despite being insufficient for this, is the integral subjectivation of the subject, it’s separation from the World that uses him to constitute itself through the mechanism of Sufficient Specularity which takes various forms: Cinema, Philosophy, History, etc.
