The topic of supply chain transparency has gained importance in the business communities due to a growing awareness of ethical consumption. However, the difficulty in perceiving the impact of this factor on the customer side is the main motivation for this academic work. Therefore, in this thesis we will address the question "How can supply chain transparency impact the consumer's purchasing decision?" Thus, the main purpose of this work is to understand the impact the disclosure of supply practices has on the consumer. In fact, with the growing pressure for companies to act more transparently, it is important from a management perspective to understand the possible effect on sales. Thus, we will begin this work with the introduction section providing the necessary framework for this work. This will be followed by a literature review in which we will develop different authors' perspectives on this subject, outline the profile of today's consumer and address the importance of communicating in a transparent way. In addition, this work will be finalized with the sections of results and data analysis; discussion and conclusion where the main conclusions drawn will be described. Finally, it was found that the majority of customers consider supply issues at the time of purchase.
