Fetal exposure to alcohol during pregnancy is associated with several risks and consequences, that affects and compromise the children healthy development. Despite the last years increasing attention to alcohol consumption, during pregnancy, it's evident an enormous gap on national's research on the matter. Seeking to deepen the knowledge about the phenomenon, the present study has as principal goal to “Explore the knowledge, behaviors and perspectives of a group of women regarding alcohol consumption during pregnancy.” Data were collected and analyzed according to a qualitative methodology, as such, many interviews were conducted respecting a semi-structured script, elaborated by ours research group. Following, the data were analyzed recurring to NVIVO 14 software. The finding results, indicates that there is alcohol consumption by some women during pregnancy, and that there are considerable gaps on the knowledge and information on the subject, that they possess. So, these results support the extreme importance of providing and disseminating information, as well as investing in prevention measures.
