The goal of this dissertation is to present a performance evaluation model of healthcare assistants in a standard healthcare organization. The developed work started with a theoretical conceptualization of the performance evaluation, followed by an analysis and description of roles and skills. This approach was based on quality analysis tools and a case study methodology. General data about the organization and accurate data about the healthcare assistants was collected through observation, documents and interviews with the nurse managers. The obtained results allow us to propose an answer to the dissertation problem “How to evaluate healthcare assistants?” through the creation of a description of job roles and skills, and a performance evaluation model and own quality analysis tools. The results have the potential to be a solid starting point for the evaluation of a healthcare assistant.
