Construção de uma prática interventiva de saúde na comunidade escolar

Abstract

To the extent that the school has a key role in the acquisition of social skills and healthy lifestyles of adults of tomorrow, health should be included in the school context. This discussion goes back to the previous century, when the birth of the draft European Network of Health Promoting Schools, the fruit of joint work of the World Health Organization, Council of Europe and the European Commission. Portugal began its pilot activity in 1997, and the partnership between the Ministries of Health and Education allowed their actual consecration. This report focused well within the Health Promotion School, had the theme "Building a Practical Interventional School of Community Health" and was divided into three modules to develop skills over 25 weeks in the Functional Unit - Unit of Public Health - Agrupamento de Centros de Saúde IX de Algueirão/Rio de Mouro. In the first module took place if the diagnosis of the situation, setting objectives, selecting activities and resources necessary to implement the intervention project, having been through these confirmed and justified the relevance of the situation under study. The second module, after the questionnaire was held data processing, both statistical and content analysis, with the results, initially positive expectations against intervention in the School of Health and, subsequently, the priority intervention areas associated with each grouping School, being more visible expression to Healthy Food Promotion, Oral Health Promotion and Promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Communicable Disease Prevention. To meet these needs we developed two intervention projects titled "I'm Growing" and "Vegetables in dish." In the third module, optional period, we opted for community intervention program within the National Oral Health Promotion in schools. In short, this report reflected the many significant contributions to an effective partnership between Health and Education
