Abstract

This Internship Report “Caring for the Person beyond Cure”, was written with themaximum scientific rigor on which Palliative Medicine is based and based on the valuesof bioethics and other essentials such as compassion, respect and dignity for the personand that coined the practice of this discipline.In this document, which is part of the Master in Palliative Care, it is intended to explainwhat strategies are used to put into practice the content acquired during the two years oftheoretical classes, always considering the provision of health care that respects thedignity of the sick person and aim for your comfort.I begin by briefly describing the three internship locations, including the respective Team,Mission, Organization of activities, Patient circuit and Training activity.Then I present the objectives proposed for the internships and which aim at the area ofcare, management, education and research. And finally, I organize all the knowledge acquired during this time following the eightcompetencies proposed by the European Association for Palliative Care for the provisionof Palliative Care. I conclude by objectifying how the internship changed my clinical practice andtransformed my view of the patient and life
