This report aims to demonstrate under a critical and reflective way the skills acquired over the training program, and their importance in the performance of duties as a Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing. During the training program, care was provided to specialized patient in critical condition and his family, emphasizing the importance of early integration of palliative actions and guidance of the person for palliative care, regardless of the context in which the person Meet. The training program referring to Module I was done at the Emergency Department of the Hospital next to Lisbon, allowing mobilize and acquire knowledge and skills need to provide special care to critically ill patients in different fields of urgency. For the Module II, the training program took place in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital next to Lisbon, allowing mobilize and deepen knowledge and skills in the area of providing care and communication to the patient in critical condition and his family. Module III corresponded to an optional internship that focused on home care unit of Palliative Care. During the course of the three modules, emerged the importance of training on the need to promote the early implementation of palliative actions, as well as reflection on ethical issues related to the subject emerged.
