This report describes some of the most relevant learnings achieved by me during the sixteen years of my professional journey. Large Schools, mainly their constitution and regulation, are one of the essential aspects in the structural changes operated in education. Large schools come twice across my professional path as member of the school management. Thus, the issue of large schools is the problematic question dealt with in this report. Based on the interpretation of published legislation and the revision of related literature, this report refers how concepts of autonomy, territorisalisation and regulation of educational policies are associated to the new organic units which are being created in Portugal. One of the aims of large schools is to improve the quality of education by favouring the articulation and sequence of all teaching levels. To achieve that we all must empower our role as active members in the construction of a school of quality and success. It’s necessary to know how to lead, rule and act. I think here lies the success of this and all types of groupings.
