In a self-reflection influenced by the visual and theoretical references acquired throughout my Master's in Photography, I chose to work on an intimate subject. I decided to document Louriceira, the village where I grew up and reside, with the intention of giving a certain protagonism to rural life and my own experience. The combination of political impulses and social transformations has impacted society, both from an individual and a communal perspective, as well as in citizen intervention in the surrounding environment. I enquired into issues related to this territory (physical, economic, and social), about my relationship with space, and also about my memories, in order to highlight the changes that have been occurring in that location, based on the evidence observed daily. I take the present as a starting point, without rejecting any heritage of memory.
