Abstract

The elaboration of this study, final requirement for obtaining the master‟s degree in School Organization and Administration, has as main goal to analyze and understand how the Inclusive Education process took place in public schools of the Federal District and the challenges facedby hearing impaired students and teachers. Once the Brazilian Sign Language – LIBRAS, is the first language learned by a deaf person, it is worth highlighting its value, the historic process of the legislation that deals with Inclusive Education in the Federal District, and the main public policies developed to serve this student. Furthermore, an analysis of the legislation in force in Brasil and in the Federal Distict was made to portray the reality of the Inclusive Education in these places and, particularly, to understand what really happens in public schools, with the aim of improving knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to know the educational reality of the hearing impaired students and get more information about the challenges they and their teachers face. In order to achieve this goal, interviews and conversations will be performed with the aim of knowing the routine of the students, teachers, managers and professionals working in auxiliary services. From then on, a case study of these main challenges will be carried out.
