The present work constitutes a report of professional activity and you want to reflect on the intervention performed with a child with Trisomy 21 in particular as regards the development of skills in the area of reading and writing. The inclusion of students with Trisomy 21 at regular schools imposes on teachers a reflection on the educational practices to adopt in order to contribute to the development of their cognitive skills in order to acquire more autonomy and a better integration in the community. With this work, supported in the literature review, we sought to make themselves known to the methodology adopted and the activities developed with a child with trisomy 21 in order to develop skills of reading and writing that allow you to not only move forward in their learning how to facilitate its insertion in the community.
