Abstract
This qualitative study aimed to explore the perceptions of higher education students regarding the development of skills in intercultural contexts, within the framework of the international Egalitarian project. Through semi-structured interviews, the experiences of five students who participated in international teams addressing challenges related to the sustainability theme were analyzed. The results highlight the relevance of the experience in developing skills such as intercultural communication, empathy, teamwork, leadership, and social awareness. Participants reported personal and academic growth, as well as increased sensitivity to social and environmental inequalities. These experiences contributed to a critical understanding of altruism and reinforced a sense of transformative agency. It is concluded that international projects during academic training foster meaningful learning, enhancing a more holistic, ethical, and socially engaged education.| Date of Award | 10 Jul 2025 |
