This report, included in the syllabus of the Master´s Degree in Nursing, Specialization in Medical-Cirurgical Nursing, Instituto de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Católica Portuguesa de Lisboa, aims to give visibility to the learning modules developed in several stages through description of the objectives, activities, situations and/or experienced complex problems and solving strategies found, resulting in a set of skills acquired and/or improved. I received accreditation in the Urgency service module because I work in a Polivalent Urgency. The Intensive Care module has been done in Unidade Cuidados Intensivos Polivalentes of the Hospital de São José – Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Central, EPE, and the Palliative Care module took place in the Unidade de Cuidados Continuados e Paliativos of Hospital da Luz. Throughout the various modules of training, has been given emphasis to the communication topic, not only by the crosscutting characteristics of itself, as by the impact it has on relationships with people and even in the success of the treatment. I have specifically explored the bad news communication, being the Target of the systematic literature review to become a reality in the daily lives of Nurses which requires training and expertise by presenting complexity. It is now considered one of the most difficult areas in the interpersonal relationships context (Borges, Freitas e Gurgel, 2012). The analogy between the theoretical and the practical exercise provided by the various fields of stages was essential for the improvement of analysis opportunities and reflection on and over the care practice, as well as in the consolidation of learning, reflection and analysis for the degree of master and specialist nurse in medical-cirurgical nursing. I believe that this training contributed to the construction of new Knowledge in order to promote quality care practices, updated, which can be translated into health gains for the population.
