Abstract

This work involves three modules which correspond to three local stage, respectively practice in the emergency department of the Hospital São João, in the Burns Unit / Special Care of Hospital da Prelada and Convalescent Unit of Hospital Nossa Senhora da Conceição - Valongo. Aims to: develop a reflective practice; reflect on the professional practice and attitudes taken in view to improve our performance as a nurse and as student of Master in Medical-Surgical Nursing; and illustrate the way along the stage. The methodology selected is the descriptive / reflective. On the way to obtain skills, was privileged to intervene independently. During the experiences with patient / family became relevant reflect and to transcribe this context particularities of communication, ethical considerations and management of nursing services. The intervention was meeting the needs identified and addressed for services as appropriate, enabling future implementation of them. In this sense was approached the nursing records in the context of urgent /emergency therapeutic regime resulted in the focus reflection in the emergency unit and intervention on Convalescence Unit and the focus pressure ulcers in the shed risk in the major burn patient. Thus, respectively developed a Draft Intervention in the ER, in order to encourage nurses to register with interventions autonomous; Unit of convalescence, the focus therapeutic regime, and this is one that arouses more attention with professional service, giving rise to a reflection among nurses in the diagnostic activity and implementation of interventions, the focus pressure ulcer based on their risk in large patient burned, considering this as high risk developed an instrument for assessing risk, which was used as a basis for future inquiry what is the key factor for the onset this focus on burn patient. The development of these themes reflects consolidation aspects relevant to a further deepening the development of future practices, because institutions go towards updating and increase their levels of effectiveness and efficiency, and nurse specialist has to have a participatory role and proactive. The assessment stage is very positive. This that it was possible for the effort in translating objectives, its analysis and in its corollary, possible to improve the quality and efficiency of care.
