Abstract

In the last few decades, environmental issues have arisen within social and political agendas. From a strictly environmental concern, the concept of ecology gradually progressed towards a global concept of ecology. The Church has been following this path, also reflecting on it. The Church Teaching has largely contributed to how the ecological problem is being addressed nowadays. From the natural sciences, politics, economics and theology, ecology is clearly on the current agenda and it is necessary to re-educate society, so that we all could be cooperators in the preservation of Creation, i.e., the Common House.
