This research consists of a case study with the objective of analyzing the impacts of Education offered by the Female Penitentiary System of the Federal District from the perspective of the students. A case study and qualitative methodology are adopted, using the questionnaire as a data collection instrument, applied to students in prison. Data analysis was carried out in a discursive way, with inferences and interpretations of the relationships between the textual elements that proved to be significant for the understanding of the discourses adopted by the inmates, as well as the achievement of objectives, seeking to reveal the reflexes of teaching for resocialization and reduction of delict. With the responses and observations of the participants, it was evidenced that education in the Women's Prison of the DF is a political sphere that has advanced over time, however, there are still challenges for this modality to be developed in all its resocialization and humanitarian potential. Inmates see teaching in a positive frame, which contributes to improving self-esteem and to experiencing the hope of a more dignified return to participate in a healthy way in society.
