Educador social nos cuidados paliativos da rede nacional dos cuidados integrados

Abstract

This report aims to present the work of the Holy House of Santa Casa da Misericórdia, the valence of the Third Age. In the first part of the story will be developed, as well as the characterization and historical contextualization of the Holy House of Santa Casa da Misericórdia. In the second part a description of the target audience (senior) will be taken, will be explained the functions of a professional of intervention (social educator). Then, they will discuss several theoretical issues associated with the senior (age, general aspects of aging, fourth age among others).The objective of this internship was to contribute to the establishment of an office of Social Education and develop and maintain a plan of different activities. Along the way were carried out various activities that have come to show a gain for the elderly, both the cognitive level and at the engine level.
