Abstract

The present work begins with the biblical exegesis of the passage of the disciples of Emmaus, from Luke 24, 13-35. After a careful attention of the Greek text and its reflection, we are systematically based on the pericope. Now, when we find out the sorrowful motivations of the disciples, we realize that they idealized the person of Jesus erroneously. The excess of approximation and possession materialized in an image of worshipable Jesus. The distance arises as a response to the combat of the idol. Through distance, the relationship becomes healthy. Finally, we reflect on Jesus' posture along the way. We conclude that the pedagogy of Jesus should be a model for the pedagogy of the Church.
