: um novo olhar!

Abstract

The increasing care needs require from the nurses to acquire and develop specific skills, seeking more and better post-graduate training in order to maximize available resources and appropriately respond to the real problems on the individuals.That’s the reason for my interest and motivation to start my specialization in Medical-SurgicalNursing. As a learning strategy, the clinical practice is a moment of particular importance for the application of knowledge acquired during the Post-Graduation.This report describes and gives visibility to the activities and skills developed in a reflectivemanner in the modules in the clinical practice in Medical-Surgical Nursing.The report consists of an introduction, which refers the importance of training in the process of acquiring skills and presents the objectives and the reasons that led me to opt for a clinicalpractice in the areas of Hospital Infection Control and in the Emergency Rescue. A first chapter presents the general considerations on the clinical practice at the Infection Control Committee, describes the activities and skills acquired and developed my contribution in preparing the standard "Prevention of Respiratory Infection." In the second chapter, I refer to training held in the emergency department, I present the activities, skills acquired in the provision of nursing care to adult and elderly patients with severe disease, where the capacity of analysis and reflection was enhanced and steady. It was appropriate to present a training on "Care of the patient with acute coronary syndromes" to improve patient care. The final consideration, I emphasize the importance of this route in skills and in my professional and person. I present reflections of science-based activities to allow an overview of their work.The method used was a descriptive method and reflective, through description, analysis andreflection of the different activities, which mobilize and integrate the knowledge acquired, andthe consultation of relevant literature.Its preparation (based on the achievement of clinical practice) was the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to identify situations, present solutions, reflect on the activities and their ethical and social implications, and communicate the findings appropriately.Highlight the importance of stage and of writing the goals for the acquisition of skills in theSpecialization in Medical-Surgery, which will enable the future as a nurse specialist to developautonomy, a practice based on high standards of quality and in scientific knowledge.
