Abstract

Report show the development stage in the area of specialization in community nursingand skills acquired in this way. Included three modules (I, II and III) that took place inbetween April 20 and June 20, 2009, 6 October and 27 November 2009 and December 2to January 31, 2010, respectively at Vila Real I Health Care Center.Following the module I was elaborated a diagnosis of health on Adherence/Management of the therapeutic regimen and the Diabetes Self-monitoring. Wereoutlined priorities, emerging as a target area the foot self-monitoring in people with type2 diabetes. In the second module, was designed an intervention project (+ Foot Care:Educational Project for People with Diabetes Type 2, which sought to train the diabeticpeople to develop skills and competencies at the level of self-monitoring of foot),executed and evaluated and was implemented the First Diabetes Fair.With regard to Module III, tried to see how the ECCI unit was articulated with otherfunctional units, the organization and dynamics of the team in the management andcare. Given the problems perceived by the Team was held a workshop entitled: "ECCI,which challenges?".In conclusion, this stage was rich in terms of the diversity of experiences that providedskills and expertise in community nursing.
