The report hereby presented is the result of a personal reflection on the establishment and current practices of the professional courses at Escola Secundária Carlos Amarante. The work characterizes two theoretical models of organizational analysis and their application on the teaching of these courses. After referring to some important periods in history, concerning education in Portugal, it describes the practices and measures adopted to solve some of the constraints found throughout the years in these very specific courses.
