Abstract

The projets consists in the transition of a literary magazine to a cultural magazine. The approch consists in studying, mainly, the cultural sector in general terms, looking for a close definition of the word “culture”. Secondly, studying cultural journalism, its tendencies, practices and difficulties. After that, studying editorial design, essential in order to complete this project. In fourth place, investigating the market of newspapers and magazines, looking to comprehend its difficulties. This four chapters are a bibliographic revision about the state of art. After that and during the research phase, I start to define, in theory, the magazine Epígrafe, a cultural magazine for the 21 century. It was defined in terms of content, graphic identity e design and its business plan. In the end, I made the magazine. The present project compiles bibliographic revision and field work. As to goals, the main goals are defining the cultural field, study the editorial sector and formulate a business plan for the magazine and the specific goals are the make of the magazine. As to conclusions, I am looking to understand the process of making a cultural magazine and its long term sustainability.
