Abstract
This work follows on from the Curricular Unit of Integrated Urban Project and focuses on the problem of improving the existing city (studying the area where the weekly fair is currently held), in the search for proposals that demonstrate new logics and points of interest in Viseu. The new urban proposal arises with the need to consolidate the intervention area, creating new experiences through new buildings, routes, connections, green spaces, which will become the main theme of this work, "shared space / shared space". The development of this type of space will be very important, since it will allow new dynamics and relations between the street and the proposed buildings, as well as between the pawn and the road traffic, which can coexist naturally without conflicts. With cities in constant evolution, it is essential to pay attention to the issues of mobility, so it will be extremely necessary to make an important contribution with new logics of the use of spaces in the city in function of the daily reality that we live. It is intended that the proposal create places of transparency and flow of passage, with areas where social space prevails, creating new perceptions in the urban landscape.
In proposed buildings it is intended that these follow the same concept of "shared space" creating shared areas within them.
Three sets of multifamily housing are proposed, with typologies from T0 to T2, which are intended for smaller families, as well as two alignments of detached single-family dwellings, with typologies from T3 to T4 for larger families. On the ground floor of single-family dwellings, shops are also proposed for trade or services.
Considering the lack of work spaces in the city of Viseu, and as there is currently a growth of self-employed and micro-enterprises, it is proposed a band of spaces destined to "coworking" with the objective of sharing a space among professionals from different areas , Where they can share knowledge and services and mutually encourage the pace of work.
