Abstract

This document reports the experience of an internship done in a team of animation at the video-game studio Saber Porto This internship allowed for the experience of working on a professional production as a 3D animator. It was possible to experience all the techniques and dynamics of an animation team, whose production ranges from creating rigs to 3D animations, using the technology of motion capture, several 3D animation software, and a game engine. The internship lasted six months and there were seventeen tasks that were completed in total. These tasks involved, not only the practice of animation, but also the implementation of some elements in a game engine. This way, it was possible to have versatility and variety in the tasks of a technical animator, allowing for an adjustment between the student and the studio within the varied work of the animation pipeline.
