Menopause is a process of essential development in the woman's life path, since itbrings with it physical, emotional, relational and sexual changes. The present studyaimed to evaluate the relationship between lifestyle (physical exercise, nutrition and useof drugs or similar), marital satisfaction and physical and psychological quality of life inmenopause and predictors of quality of life in menopause. Differences between womenin different stages in menopause in psychosocial variables under study were alsoanalyzed. This is a cross-sectional design study, based on a snowball sample, with 101female menopausal participants. The instruments used were the sociodemographicquestionnaire, World Health Organization Quality of Life - Bref, Questionnaire ofHealth Attitudes and Behaviors and Scale for Assessment of Satisfaction in Areas ofConjugal Life. The results reveal that there are no statistically significant differencesbetween pre-menopausal women and peri-menopausal women in terms of lifestyle, marital satisfaction, physical and psychological quality of life. It was also found that aless healthy lifestyle is associated with a lower quality of life and greater maritalsatisfaction is associated with a higher quality of life. The variable professional statusproved to be a predictor of physical quality of life and the variable annual incomeproved to be a predictor of psychological quality of life in menopause. The results of thepresent study may help in the development of prevention programs and the promotionof physical and psychological quality of life in menopause.
