Abstract

Increasingly the digital is a reality known by all, becoming almost like an imposition for organizations in order to guarantee their success. In this way, an organization to be able to survive in a competitive market, characterized by constant changes has to create adequate strategies to face the technological innovations. Particularly, Internal Communication was one of the areas that has transformed the most due to technology. Nowadays their communication includes digital tools that aim to increase the relationship of proximity between the organization and employees, such as the intranet, the focus of this research. This report is based on the six-month internship at TAP Air Portugal, in the Internal Communication area. The starting question that guided all the research was to understand the importance of the intranet in the Internal Communication at TAP with the following objectives: to understand the functioning of the intranet and its contributions to a proper communication within the organization and to understand the importance of the intranet toall employees of the company. To this end, a Case Study was chosen and interviews were conducted with employees from the various departments of the company. The results of this study point to the importance of internal communication and the intranet, as a means of sharing information and as a tool that supports employees’ daily tasks.
