This paper seeks to address to what extent, the Space Control Strategies Maritimo Mozambican contribute on defense and security as a strategic space, which requires instruments of force to defend the legitimate national interests. We can also look to the sea as a cultural vehicle, and in this context, to find traces of the union for constructive dialogue founded on mutual interests and transparent. The problem of illegal fishing, piracy and hostage taking, sea pollution, has been widely recognized regionally and there is strong cooperation at the national and SADC to more effectively combat this type of attack on maritime sovereignty of countries still lack of the means of defending their exclusive economic zones. The contextualization of Control Strategy of maritime space defined by the Convention as a belt of sea adjacent to the territory's waters and beyond, over which extends the sovereignty of the coastal State (maritime). The exploitation of marine resources is one of the most important discoveries recently, namely, gas, petroleum and natural biomolecules, should be explored in strict security. Therefore, strategies to control maritime space Mozambican successes have assumed that the professional areas of defense and security, raise the training component of the Spatial planning and environment; implementing the International Conventions, Codes and Regulations, with a view the suppression of piracy, armed robbery and other unlawful acts against ships at the same time it improves maritime safety, search and rescue and anti-pollution.
