Abstract
The Marcos e Ana Gonçalves Foundation is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity, in the public/private domain, of the third sector. This case study on leadership and communication has the main goal of studying the relationship between the employees’ degree of satisfaction and the leadership and communication skills of the technical direction of this institution. Both the concept of leadership and communication were the focus of this research, as well as their relationship with the study of identification, treatment and interpretation of the data obtained. The study adopted the mixed methods methodology. In qualitative terms, a bibliographical search was carried out in databases of scientific, theoretical, and empirical articles, which grounded the theoretical framework of the topic under study. In quantitative terms, the study is based on a database resulting from the implementation of questionnaires toassess leadership and employee satisfaction regarding the technical director of the Marcos e Ana Gonçalves Foundation. The data obtained from the implementation of the questionnaires were submitted to descriptive data analysis and their correlation. It was concluded that the employees’ degree of satisfaction is fair, concerning the institution, and regarding the technical direction’s leadership style, employees with a longer career in the institution acknowledge it as relational leadership.
