The Portugal presents a large universe of youngsters at risk. The institutional response has been host more used to protect and promote the rights of these young people. In order to identify and understand the differentiating factors of a success and failure in the process of institutional, we conducted a study of nature qualitative, which follows the approach of two instrumental case studies. The sample was consisting of two young men of an home of childhood and youth, two technicians and two teachers. Data collection was performed through procedural analysis, interviews semi-structured questionnaire, Questionnaire of Linking to the Father and the Mother, the questionnaire, teachers and staff and Ecomapa. The results indicate that factors such as the early reception, a positive involvement and support of the family in the host process, the school as a means of promotion of social networks and good academic results and the community as a source support and encourage social inclusion a success. One becomes essential perspective the different dominions of the lives of the young ones as a whole, capable one to influence the shelter experiences, being looked for to promote the factors that favor a success passage.
