The present report in the scope of a Masters Degree in Nursing with specialization in Community Nursing aims to reflect the curricular unit post-graduate training, divided in two distinct modules, carried out in the Continuous Care Team of Odivelas. The dependence of the individual who need care at home continues to increase due to the aging. This reality poses challenges in the care plan to a social group increasingly numerous and carrying new diseases, including chronic degenerative diseases and needs related to the end of life. The answers to this problem should be specialized and coordination between health and social systems. Thus, involves talking about a professional category so little-addressed - caregivers of direct action. Going against a caring practice and context of the team, the module I made the diagnosis overtraining needs of auxiliary direct action partners who provide care to the users of its area of intervention. Questionnaires were administered 50, which corresponds to the public. Among those data that support the following issues identified: 50% attended secondary school population, 82% reported having training in the care of the dependent person, 40% work between 5 to 10 years in the area, 42% work in institution existing in the same period, 56% have training to provide care and whole population thinks that training is important for their professional performance. For the training needs it was realized that it cuts across all areas. In Module II, given the results of the statistical areas, the content analysis of open questions in the questionnaire and the expert meeting were identified as training priorities include: relaxation techniques, fall prevention, first aid, movements and positions, health and comfort, prevention of pressure ulcers, feeding nt/peg, communication, death and mourning, time management, conflict management and sterilization and hygiene equipments. We established the project "Continuous Training Auxiliary Direct Action ", with the creation of a multidisciplinary team with professional training, whether team or partner. The overall project aims to develop skills and techniques inherent in the relational function of ADA. This route contributed to a personal and professional development essential to the acquisition / development of skills in Community Nursing Specialist Nurse, fundamental to the practice specializes in the community.
