The following internship report, presented to the School of Biotechnology, aims to obtain a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. The work was carried out at the Quality Management Service of the Santo António University Hospital Centre. The main aim of the work carried out was to develop and adapt an interoperable platform (GHAF) focusing on the digital transition between the old platform (HM) and this more recent one, with a view to its effectiveness and the automation of processes. The work was based on three main areas: identifying all the equipment in two certified services and the digital transition of the data between the two platforms, analyzing and comparing the two management platforms, and, finally, exploring and developing a module on the GHAF platform that would be able to respond to the management of the equipment and its calibrations. During the work, some statistical analyses were made of the information and quantity of equipment, an exhaustive analysis of the two platforms to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the two platforms, and various tests on the GHAF platform to understand the module's workflow for managing calibration requests. At the end of the work carried out, it was possible to create a manual for the GHAF application which explains the new methodology for managing equipment and calibrations with the aim of simplifying the digital transition between the two platforms. Finally, the main objective was achieved since it was possible to identify, characterize and materialize how the transition to the GHAF platform should be made, which is a more communicative, effective, and automated management and information platform.
