Gestão do risco para uma prática de melhoria de cuidados

Abstract

Under the Master of Nursing Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, this report has been prepared, with the primary objective to demonstrate concisely and objectively using criticize ideas, activities and strategies developed during the internship. The practice of highly skilled nursing care, was a key point in the continuous care of the person in critical condition and his family, in order to achieve the objectives and competencies of specialist nurse in this area. The training is inserted in the Course of Medical-Surgical Nursing, which is composed of three modules: Module I - ER, in the context of Hospital da Luz; Module II - Intensive Care, that has been credited for all previous experience in this area; Module III - Optional, in Surgical Theater of Otolaryngology at the Hospital of Santa Maria. On a conjecture of current security applied to health care, Risk Management becomes a central focus of attention. Either important other subject areas were also the focus of attention and development throughout the different modules, which were the relational area, communication, reception, the humanization of care and job training. It’s my conviction that all this subject areas conducted to specialized theaters of care to the person in critical condition and his family, the fundamental focus of care Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Throughout this report it was intended, through the presentation of several real situations experienced in the first person to demonstrate how the activities and strategies developed, contributed in relevant way for the acquisition and development of skills, and therefore encouraging good practices based on scientific evidence, aiming at continuous improvement of quality of care provided by nurses, to person in a critical situation and his family. I believe that all the objectives proposed were reached.
