This thesis has theoretical support to several authors, such as the theories of Castells within the Information Society, the theories of Jean Baudrillard were analyzed under the theme of simulacra and simulation. The analysis of the information society with strong focus on technology was look through the theories of Masuda. The management of crisis communication has been discussed in light of theories of Coombie.
