This work aims to study and deepen Corporate Governance and apply this theme in a practical and organizational context. Thus, first is presented a working methodology of PwC, the company in which the author had the opportunity to undertake an internship of 6 months. The reason why this methodology was chosen to be exposed is due to the fact that it was the project in which she was allocated from the beginning. Moreover, this methodological approach allowed the author to make the first steps in achieve the main objective of the present work - analyze the current positioning of Efacec on Corporate Governance and identify improvement opportunities. The work begins with the presentation of the internship plan, which sets out the main skills acquired as well as projects in which the author participated. In the other hand, it is presented the Corporate Governance methodology of PwC work. Following there is a literature review on Corporate Governance, which presents several conceptual approaches as well as the major theories and mechanisms associated. After framing Corporate Governance in the literature, it is presented the current Efacec positioning concerning CMVM recommendations. It’s important to refer that, in order to do a better analysis and reflection it was essential an exhaustive collection and analysis of information, one that cannot just rely only on public access documenting, which required meetings with an internal Efacec worker. Corporate governance improvement opportunities are also presented. Finally, it is presented the main conclusions this work has enabled the author to withdraw.
