The present investigation aimed to investigate how parents transmit health information to their children, with the intention of identifying and comparing the transmission of health perceptions between families with cases of arterial hypertension and families where the disease is not present. To analyze the data, the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model was used, which allowed examining the effect of interdependence between the parts of the relationship. The research sample consisted of 41 dyads, consisting of the mother, father, and child. As for the results, it is worth noting that the prevalence of health perception transmission varies according to the gender of the parents, where it was found that there is a higher prevalence of transmission from mother to child.
