Abstract

At the turn of the twentieth century, occurred an expansion of the field of research in pedagogy of Music History, and there is currently a comprehensive international literature, which focuses, among other things, content, teaching strategies and learning activities, teaching materials, as well as interactive and motivating ways of teaching Music History . In this perspective and taking advantage of the potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the main goal of this thesis, with a methodological reflection-action design, is to create a space in digital form as a teaching resource for the discipline of History of Culture and Arts, specific component of Music History. Intended for use by students of the Instrumentalist Strings and Key Courses, Woodwind and Percussion, in Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave (Artave). To accomplish this, it was used as a platform CourseSites Blackboard. Considering the importance of music listening and the difficulty in compiling a set of relevant musical examples, along with the explanations necessary for understanding and subsequent mobilization to other contexts, the digital space contains an approach to the main genres of instrumental music, both solo or orchestral, designed in the Baroque and Classicism. The inherent explanations in each genre are accompanied by representative musical examples. In short, in a time which states the importance of innovation in education in order to respond to current challenges, the potential of ICT should be explored. They intend to contribute as an innovative teaching tool, when used in accordance with the teaching- learning objectives of a particular discipline. Therefore, in this society of knowledge and information the constant updating of the technological level of teachers, as well as scientific and pedagogical, should be of great importance.
