In an age characterized by the ubiquitous crisis, the values and structures that supported life and the social fabric seem to decline. The resulting disorientation is added to the need to explore other ways of thinking, feeling, acting and living. In this context, happiness, while universal search, is taught and transmitted according to each tradition, history, requirements and considerations to alright it and achieve it. For a part of Psychology, although the perception and definition of happiness is essentially a subjective and individual phenomenon, it does not prevent there to be no influences on this judgment that can be studied empirically. In this search for happiness will be the concern with sustainability and sustainable development, as ideas, strategies and other ecologically correct attitudes, economically viable, socially just and culturally diverse able to meet our needs in the present without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet their needs. Specifically in this study, we aim to explore the measures in which personal experiences in the fields of happiness and sustainability intersect in the life narratives of three participants who changed their lives in an urban context to live in the rural context, through a thematic analysis. These allowed to discover the strong influence of the rural environment for the participants, the sustainability and its practices, an increase in happiness during the transition to the rural environment, the impact of the pandemic and the importance of ecological sustainability as behavior before future generations, pleasurable routines and as a progressive thought. Regarding the implications of the results, these concern the importance of deepening the themes of sustainable happiness and environmental sustainability, awareness in the preservation of indigenous species, the implementing of social sustainability, through job creation, work articulated with the population and with other projects and with local authorities. Happiness and sustainability have thus demonstrated axes of structural relevance to all individuals, their work and the relationships they maintain with the environment and with others.
