Abstract

The COVID19 pandemic had a great impact in the global economy, forcing many companies to adapt in order to deal with the crisis that it created. The equestrian sector had to deal with challenges never faced before, having to reinvent itself so that it could survive and thrive. The sector’s response was, in general, aligned with what the literature considered good practices when dealing with crisis is concerned. Nevertheless, not all the actions had the expected outcomes. Coudelaria Vila Nova, as a representative enterprise in this sector, used multiple measures, both operational and financial, aiming to minimize the effects of this crisis and to set the tone for its prosperity beyond the crisis. The adaptability and the ability to innovate turned out to be crucial for the survival of this company and would be the cornerstone for the building of a more robust enterprise for the future.
