Abstract

This master's thesis addresses the critical issue of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare within the European regulatory landscape, underscoring its significance for healthcare businesses facing ethical, legal, and practical challenges. Employing a comprehensive methodology that includes policy analysis, managerial strategy evaluation, and case study examination, the research seeks to uncover effective strategies for AI integration in healthcare settings. The objectives are to navigate the strategic, ethical, economic, and compliance hurdles of AI adoption in healthcare and to offer actionable recommendations for healthcare leaders and policymakers. The main findings highlight the essential role of a balanced approach that recognizes the potential benefits and challenges of AI in healthcare, stressing the imperative of ethical considerations and the intricacies of the European regulatory framework for successful AI integration in healthcare management and policy-making.
