How to recruit and retain Top Talent

Recuiting and Retaining Talent has been a well discussed topic across the last decades. In a moment where Portugal is overcoming a recession and giving its first signs of gowth, where young qualified individuals are moving abroad and in a situation where companies believe there is lack of talent the aim of this report is to understand on one hand what factors impact your salary and thus the perception of the market concerning your value and on the other hand, how companies can keep top professionals within their businesses. An ordered Logit model is executed using data from a distributed online survey. Personal characteristics were found to be significant and salary, career plans and stability were found to be the most important characteristics for individuals in companies.
