Abstract
In our time, the figure of Jesus has once again become one of the central themes, not only in theology, but also in most circles of reflection, at various levels. In Jesus Christ, man has discovered a unique model with whom he can establish a relationship of progressive proximity and identification, since he recognizes in him the possibility of responding to the deeper insights of existence. The post-conciliar period can thus be defined as a fair process of devolution of the centrality of christology in theology, in ecclesial life and in the daily life of humanity. It is precisely in the (re)discovery of the person of Jesus, as a paradigm of the new humanity, that this work is objectified. Walter Kasper's christology, here analyzed, serves as the basis for this rediscovery of Jesus Christ unique humanity, as an ever-new route of humanization. The insistence on the relational dynamics between christology, anthropology and soteriology, which characterizes this dissertation, aims to emphasize that the humanity of “Jesus, the Christ” is the authentic and complete project to be constructed by each man in the urgency of being fulfilled as such.
