The literature has highlighted the relevance of individuals developing careeradaptability, despite theoretical and technical competences, to adequately respond to thedemands established by the academic and labor contexts. The present study intends to analysethe impact of work experiences on the career adaptability of higher education students.Participants included 130 higher education students, aged between 18 and 59 years old (M =25.18). Data were collected through a Sociodemographic, Academic and Work ExperienceQuestionnaire and through the Career Adaptability Scale: Higher Education Context. Data wereanalysed using the Statistical Package for the Social Science software, through descriptive, correlational, and between-subject variance analyses. Based on the results obtained, work experiences seem to have an impact on career adaptability total, however, the results of thepresent study point to the absence of differences between groups in the dimensions of career adaptability. The need to continue with prospective studies, based on other samples of highereducation students, is highlighted. The importance of developing career interventions in high education settings is also acknowledged.
