The present proposal for the Final Masters Assignment consisted on the study of the feasibility of implementing the Balanced Scorecard in a recent and small business like iConsulting-group, in response to the need for a deliberated and well communicated strategy throughout the organization. By conciliating financial indicators with non-financial indicators, short term goals with medium/long term goals and by putting the vision and the strategy of an organization in the center of its nature, this research will try to clarify if the Balanced Scorecard is a useful tool for a company like iConsulting-group. Based on a theoretical approach – through a review of the essential literature of the subject -, weekly meetings were posteriorly realized with the CEO of the group and the daily tasks of the various employees of the companies that constitute the group were closely observed, with the intention to perceive the priorities and the critical success factors within the organization. Thus, majorly qualitative data was retrieved for this investigation that was also carried out as a case study. By not having any type of integrated strategic management system and the fact that the group is inserted in a very competitive industry like the consulting industry, the implemented BSC imports more value to the group, as it allows a clearer communication of both deliberated strategy and contribution of each employee for its achievment, in addition to the implicit positive renforcement of individual and collective goals allignment present in the strategic tool.
